Ag Awards Nominations Needed

Know a McLean County farmer or agribusiness professional who goes above & beyond? Nominations are being accepted for the 2014 McLean County Chamber of Commerce Agricultural Awards.

The submission deadline is Wed., Dec. 31

If you know of a worthy candidate, please take a few moments to complete the attached form to recognize and celebrate contributions to agriculture and our local farming community.

The awards are presented in 6 categories:

  • Outstanding Service to Agriculture – recognizes an individual from the McLean County area for contributions to the cause of agriculture in our community
  • Outstanding Young Farmer – recognizes a young farmer actively involved in civic and community affairs to promote and improve agriculture
  • Outstanding Agri-Business Person – recognizes a business person who has served to improve agriculture through civic and community activities
  • Outstanding Conservationist – recognizes a person who has helped advance the knowledge and practice of soil and water conservation
  • McLean County Farmer of the Year – recognizes a farmer for active involvement in civic and community affairs to promote and improve agriculture
  • Emerging Leader in Agriculture – recognizes a young professional engaged in no-production agriculture who has served to improve agriculture through civic and community activities
