Last week’s announcement by China that it would stop issuing permits for imports of U.S.-produced dried distillers’ grains has wreaked havoc on the market, sending DDG prices on an unprecedented downward spiral. Since early April, DDG prices have fallen by $69/ton to the lowest level since Dec. 2010.
